The Rosalia Fire Department was officially established in 1936 and Whitman County Fire District 7 in 1953.  Today the two function as a cooperative unit under the name Whitman County Fire District #7, deploying out of two stations (Rosalia and Thornton). Around 25 volunteers form the backbone of our department.
The firefighters are represented by the Rosalia Volunteer Firefighter’s Association, a non-profit organization established to to accept and manage donations for the benefit of the communities we serve and the personnel of the Rosalia Fire Department and the Rosalia Ambulance.
 
Training Schedule
1st Monday: Tech rescue training @ 1900 hours
2nd and 4th Monday: Fire training @ 1900 hours
3rd Monday:  EMS training @ 1900 hours
